Meconi Design Group is a design practice specializing in residential, commercial, landscape, and interior design work, rooted in the belief that environments form and affect the very essence of human experience. To that end, the Venice, California based practice founded in 1998, is committed to the full realization of its clients’ dreams and the community they inhabit through the forming of transformative and innovative environmental experiences.
Alex Meconi is the founder and principal of Meconi Design Group. For over 15 years, Alex has sought to explore and express the essence of built form, whether in building design, landscape or interior space, through a rigorous exploration and confluence of the client’s desires and the project’s needs.
Alex received a Master of Architecture degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-arc). He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of California at Berkeley. He is an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects.
Alex has served as a design instructor, juror and lecturer at various institutions including the University of California at Los Angeles, the University of Southern California, and the Southern California Institute of Architecture. He also worked for over 6 years with Frank O. Gehry and Associates.
